Jamillah LaShaun Shealey, also known as Jay LaShaun, was born January 16, 1995 in Riverdale, GA. She grew up in Jonesboro, GA where she attended Hawthorne Elementary and Mundy's Mill Middle School. As a young girl her mother would always have family photos taken, not knowing that it was preparing Jamillah for her future. It wasn't until she was 17 that Jamillah considered modeling. She attended an open audition with Barbizon and received a call back solidifying her inspiration to becoming a model. Jamillah received professional training from Barbizon Modeling School in Atlanta, Georgia. She was skillfully trained in these areas: runway, pose, coordinate creative photoshoots, and how to stay fit as a model.
In August of 2013, Jamillah began attending Savannah State University majoring in Business Management. Here she became a member of Timeless Fashion Model Management (TFMM), the National Council of Negro Women, Inc., and Delta Sigma Pi Fraternity, Inc. As a member of TFMM, Jamillah has learned to be more confident and creative which are tools that continue to set apart from others. Jamillah has been highly influenced by the late singer Aaliyah. Her grace, originality, humbleness, and natural beautiful are all attributes Jamillah likes to incorporate while pursuing her modeling career .
"I feel that your talent should do the talking, not a revealing outfit" - Aaliyah
